1. About Close Enough

Close Enough creates personalised illustrations inspired by the funny, wonderful words and phrases children use.

Each personalised illustration is individually created using the information you provide when placing your order.

2. Placing an order

When placing an order, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including the child's name, age when they said the word, the word or phrase itself, and what it means.

Please check all spelling and details carefully before placing your order. Names and words will be reproduced as provided.

By placing an order, you confirm that you have provided the information necessary for us to create your personalised artwork.

3. Personalised artwork

Your illustration is created specifically from the information you provide. The final artwork is therefore a creative interpretation of your description and may not reproduce every detail exactly as imagined.

Please provide enough information for us to understand the word, its meaning and any details you would like us to capture.

Because each illustration is individually created, minor differences between your expectations and the final artistic interpretation do not constitute a defect.

4. Changes and corrections

Once an order has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error in the information you provided.

Once work on your illustration has started, changes may not be possible. If a change is requested after the artwork has been created, an additional fee may apply depending on the nature of the change.

If we make an error in reproducing information that you provided correctly, please contact us so that we can resolve the issue.

5. Digital products

Where a product is sold as a digital illustration, you will receive the digital file in the format specified on the product page.

Digital files are for your personal use unless otherwise stated. They may not be resold, redistributed, sublicensed or used commercially without written permission from Close Enough.

6. Physical products

Physical products are produced using the personalised artwork created from your order details.

Colours may vary slightly between your screen and the final printed product due to differences between screens, printers and materials.

7. Intellectual property

The artwork created by Close Enough remains the intellectual property of Close Enough unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Your purchase gives you the personal-use rights described on the relevant product page. It does not transfer copyright or ownership of the artwork to you.

8. Pricing and payment

All prices are displayed in South African Rand unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be successfully received before your order is processed.

9. Delivery

Estimated production and delivery times are provided on the relevant product page.

Delivery times may vary depending on the product, destination and courier service. Once an order has been handed to a courier, delivery is subject to the courier's service and any delays outside our control.

10. Refunds and returns

Because personalised products are made specifically from the information provided by you, they generally cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind once production has begun.

This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law, including rights relating to defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

11. Privacy

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information supplied to create a personalised illustration is used to process and fulfil your order and for related business purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your order will apply to that order.
